What Makes OCEANARIUM systems better?

There are many reasons to purchase an OCEANARIUM system. Compare your (or any) system to the features listed below:

1. Compare Construction

Oceanarium features thermal pane tempered glass or thermal pane polycarbonate when glass is not specified. All cabinets are made with 1" reinforced plywood which is also used to frame the glass in most systems. This creates an incredibly strong, high impact resistant unit. All filtration, circulation and refrigeration components are similar for almost every tank shape. This allows us to standardize parts and allows your employees to operate our systems easily, even if you buy a different style for every store.

2. Compare Filtration

The Oceanarium systtem contains the most advanced filtration ever offered in a lobster tank. And it's designed to make maintenance quick and easy. The system contains six stages of filtration.

1. A mechanical pre-filter attached to the tank floor. This large foam pad traps all solid debris and is easily removed for cleaning without having to drain the tank.
2. A multi-storage chemical filter including activated carbon.
3. An oxygen reactor/wet-dry filter with 3 gallon media capacity.
5. A denitrifier to help remove harmful nitrites
6. A protein skimmer/foam fractionator which automatically removes dissolved organics and proteins

3. Compare Ease of Maintenance

  • Do you have to drain your tank to clean the filter bed? You won't with an Oceanarium system. Our pre-filter foam pad pulls out for cleaning whether the tank is full or not.
  • Does your system require you to pour loose carbon into a container? An Oceanarium system does not. Our carbon (plus other beneficial filtering aids) is pre-bagged in nylon mesh. Replacement is as simple as throwing the old bag away and putting in a new one.
  • Does your system's refrigeration unit slide out for ease of maintenance? Oceanarium's does
  • Does your system have an osygen reactor/wet-dry filter? Oceanarium's does. And it is in a sealed, no service canister. Pre-filtration and the unique composition of our biological media eliminate the need for cleaning.
  • Does your system require you to remove organic foam manually? Oceanarium's systems contain protein skimmer/foam fractionator which automatically removes foam.

    4. Compare Value

    Compare what you're paying now for you system to a comparable Oceanarium. We think you will find that per pound of capacity or size of tank, the Oceanarium is less expensive EVEN THOUGH IT IS A BETTER SYSTEM. Also, Oceanarium systems can be shipped door-to-door, blanket wrapped by moving companies. This eliminates hidden crating charges and unloading is included. Your unit arrives at your loading dock ready to inspect and installed without requiring uncrating by employees.
